We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations for our Egypt office. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance with local tax and labor laws, and seamless coordination with HR and finance functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration:
- Process monthly payroll in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure payroll complies with local labor, tax, and social security laws
- Maintain and update payroll records, employee data, and documentation
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations for accounting and audit purposes
- Submit accurate tax and social insurance filings
- Support internal and external audits related to payroll
- Employee Support & Claims:
- Manage business travel expenses and employee reimbursement claims
- Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate closely with the HR team to ensure alignment on employee data, benefits, and contracts
- Assist the finance team in budget planning and salary forecasting
- Contribute to process improvements and system upgrades where applicable
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within a multinational or IT/consulting environment
- Solid understanding of Egypt’s labor laws, tax regulations, and social insurance procedures
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
